The Kirra is a funky 2 storey 4 bedroom house in a casual beach style
The roof line is the feature here, 2 opposing skillions on the sides and a low roof between give the illusion of 2 smaller buildings, disguising the bulk of the large home.
Downstairs is dedicated to living areas with 2 living rooms, large kitchen and ding room leading onto a covered BBQ area and a study.
Upstairs is dedicated to bedrooms, the master suite has a walk in robe and ensuite and the other 3 double bedrooms are equal in size. There is also a generous study nook and a couple of balconies.
The material palette is lightweight cladding with painted vertical “shadowclad” and texture coated FC sheeting. The windows are timber to add a bit more character to the exterior.
The design would be suitable for beach-side locations but also suitable in any other residential estate, if your after a house which stands out from the crowd.
The interior styling is full of character with white skirting boards and cornice contrasting with the latte coloured walls, timber floor boards and timber features including the windows and sliding doors.
The kitchen style is a bit more rustic than all of the modern minimalist kitchens however all of these details are easily changed to suit your own tastes.
